Here at St. Oliver's N.S. each class receives at least one hour of P.E. every week. Our P.E. classes are made up of the six strands of the P.E. curriculum and throughout the year we take part in Aquatics, Games, Athletics, Gymnastics, Dance and Outdoor and Adventure activities. We believe P.E. is a very important subject and we follow a whole school plan and timetable for teaching the various strands.
We use the Move Well, Move Often resource to develop our Fundamental Movement Skills. The four skills that we have decided to focus on this year are Balancing, Dodging, Throwing and Catching.

P.E. Homework
As part of our P.E. School Plan, children receive Active Homework on the days that they have P.E. classes. Active Homework replaces written homework on these days. Our Active School Committee distributed Active Homework ideas to each class. Bizzy Breaks Challenge Ideas at Home was also used for homework inspiration in some classes.
