ASF Questionnaires Results
Most children surveyed reported that they enjoyed PE class. Their favourite strand is Games. Most children reported that they did not receive PE/Active homework. Of those who did receive it, they reported that they enjoyed it. A lot of children would like to see our facilities to improve e.g. add a football pitch, playground equipment (monkey bars, climbing frame) etc. Children reported that they would enjoy longer or more PE sessions and games everyday. Most children felt that the school running initiative has made them better at running. When asked did they enjoy taking part, one commented "Yes I do because I used to be slow and now I am fast". The majority of children reported that they enjoyed classroom based active breaks and break times in the yard. Again, way in which they suggested we could improve is by extending yard time and adding some swings and slides. Most children enjoyed ASW because during this week, they have PE everyday. Some enjoyed playing a variety of Games but feel that we could include more sports as part of ASW. Many children did not know that 60 minutes of physical activity is recommended for children daily. The majority had also not visited or seen the Active Flag section on our school website.
